Catholic Charities is the largest private network of social service organizations in the United States, consisting of 1700 local offices and serving more than 7.8 million people of all faiths each year.
In the Diocese of Springfield, Catholic Charities is organized in seven regional offices. Our local office is located in Springfield itself, providing services to Sangamon, Cass, Christian, Menard, Morgan, and Scott counties.
Locally or through its larger local and national network of cooperating agencies, Catholic Charities provides counseling programs, day care, senior services and guardianship, health care, residential care, foster care, independent living, special education, emergency shelter care, family preservation services, food and clothing distribution, crisis assistance, and low-cost prescription assistance.
Catholic Charities serves all those who are in need. To do this, Catholic Charities relies not only on its skilled and dedicated staff, but also on hundreds of volunteers, advisory board members, and donors in local communities.
